With a formative background in Chemical Engineering and an extensive professional career as an executive director at a multinational leader in the fashion world, Mariam Cremades began her artistic career in 2014. She was moved by the influence of her painter father, as well as the landscape painting of William Turner, the dramatic brushstroke of Vincent van Gogh, the vibrant strokes of Jackson Pollock and the colorful minimalism of Mark Rothko.
Her early works reveal a passionate and expressionist gaze that evolves, in a self-taught manner and through experimentation, creativity, and sensitivity, toward much more intimate and minimalist conceptual drifts. Perfecting a clean and harmonious stroke, her technique consistently showcases the artist’s plastic resources, highlighted by the chromatic contrast and degradation in both oil and acrylic, and pronounced textures that mark a path toward sculptural painting.
Mariam Cremades' work combines color, stroke, texture, and light in a unique play of sensory vibrations that seek the connection between the individual and nature.
Her intense process of artistic development and experimentation finally materialized in “LIFE,” a monographic exhibition that began its journey in 2022 at the Exhibition Hall of Almoradí, her hometown, and continued in 2023 at the Municipal Arts Center of Alicante. In the same year, her work “Coraza” was selected as a finalist in the VIII National Painting Competition of Pozuelo de Alarcón and was part of the collective exhibition organized at the Espacio MIRA in Madrid.
She has held several exhibitions in Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, and Alicante. Her upcoming engagements include exhibitions in New York, Valencia, and London.
