Bio

Biography:

Kyoko Kikuchi is an abstract painter and asemic writing artist born in Oita, Japan. Majored in oil painting at Oita Prefectural Art Midorigaoka High School.
After graduation, she studied oil painting and silk-screening for four years at Oita Prefectural Junior College of Art and Culture.She then went on to obtain a curatorial certificate from Kyoto University of Art and Design.She resumed painting in 2021, after working in museums and other professions.
She draws primarily using color, texture, and asemic writing (writing that is not written to be read) to make the invisible visible.This is because she feels that it is in the invisible that there is something important.She expresses herself using all kinds of painting materials such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pen, but at the root of her works are her thoughts of "no border," "life," and "love.
