Grimaldi Antonietta is a modern painter. Antonietta was born in Naples on 19 June 1962. She lives and works in Scauri. At the age of fourteen she began her passion for painting: in high school, visiting her sister at the art institute for ceramics, she was fascinated and realised that her path was that of art. She decided to change schools and devote her en-tire training to the immense world of art and self-expression. Thus began her approach to painting and different forms of expression, she also began to show part of her work by participating in painting extemporaries organised by the pro loco of Minturno, her town of residence. She obtained her diploma in 'Applied Arts' at the Institute for Ceramics in Cascano. She then embarked on her training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, exhibiting during this period at numerous local exhibitions and participating the cultural association 'Artists Minturnae'. After a period of silence, she participated in the Arte Mondadori Prize and the Contemporary Artists' Showcase in Florence, where she was selected to participate in Onda Verde. At these events she won several prizes: Viareggio 1st Prize for Painting, Marina di Massa 1st Prize for Modern Art, Nice 1st Special Prize Honour Trophy, Lucca 1st Absolute Prize Modern Art Painting, Rome 1st Honour Prize Painting, Venice 1st Honour Prize Painting. She participates in various events, including: Primavera Versigliese, Gran Trofeo Ville de Nice, Rassegna d’arte Colori e Poesia della Valdinievole, Rassegna d’Arte Omaggio alla Riviera Apuana, Premio Internazionale Il Ciocco, Rassegna d’arte Omaggio a San Marino, Premio Italia per le Arti Visive (Certaldo), XXIV Giornata della Cultura Premio Nazionale Humanitas, Omaggio alla Repubblica di San Marino, 1° Premio as-soluto medaglia d’oro Montecatini 1197 Colori e Poesia , 1° Premio assoluto personali: Milano Galleria Modigliani, Viareggio Galleria Internazionale, Firenze Eco d’Arte Moderna. In queste manifestazioni ha ottenuto i seguenti premi: San Marino 1° Premio, Il Ciocco 1° premio (Fiorino d’oro), Massa 1° premio Pittura Informale, Le Donne nell’Arte 1° premio arte informale, Certaldo Premio Mostra, XXIV Giornata della Cultura “Onorati del Premio” pubblicata sul Corriere di Roma. A seguito di tutte queste affermazioni l’Accademia dei 500 per le arti lettere scienze e cultura di Roma, la nomina per mezzo del suo Presidente “Accademico di merito”. Her participation in various extemporaneous competitions and exhibitions, both personal and collective, local and national, has led to acclaim from con-temporary critics. I am still searching for new stimuli and my own style that lead me to experiment with new techniques in my canvases.
