My name is Hathairat Maneerat. I am a Bangkok, Thailand born, New York City based, self-taught artist. I started my career as a women’s wear fashion designer with my namesake brand, HATHAIRAT, that I established in 2014. Over time I became more interested in painting as I wanted to be completely free and express my endless imagination and creativity.

Each of my art works develops organically as each piece of begins with a high level concept and develops with each new level of detail. The excitement comes every time I look at each piece with fresh eyes and see the progress. I enjoy the unexpected progress as it gives me a free state of mind. As my background was in fashion design, I worked intensively with models, fitting and sizing each garment so it came naturally for me to see the beauty of the figure blending with my eccentric dream sense and anything I came across that could turn out to be my inspiration for my painting. I paint wherever and whenever my mind takes me.
