Description
A Gaelic and Roman Goddess of horses, donkeys and mules, as well as a symbol of fertility, Epona was said to carry our spirit from our graves to our final destinations in the afterlife. Here I have de-picted who I believe to be her keepers and defenders, who may have been her companions on her journeys throughout the world and afterlife. He mare, silver-haired with the heads of vultures and a snake, who all play roles in the outcome of one's afterlife.
