Carmen Ruiz Carmen Ruiz was born in Granada in a family of artists. She began her career as a singer-songwriter following her father passion for flamenco. She started painting at a young age, inspired by her uncle painter Manuel Maldonado. She now lives in Paris and exhibits regularly in Spain and France where she won the \"Golden Canvas\"(Toile d’Or) for her work titled \"The Unbearable Loneliness of Being\" at the Salon des Indépendants du Grand Palais in Paris (2016).
