Bio
David Jason Mendoza 20th of September 1981 I was born near the small town of Goa Camarines Sur in the Philippines. Growing up and searching for my future career, I was not thinking of becoming an artist at all. But I always treasured celebrating life with my friends and family in a colorful way. When I left college, I went overseas to pursue a career in the tourism business by learning Japanese as a first step, living Tokyo / Japan. In 2012 I moved to Germany to start my career in the hotel business in the German city of Hamburg. There I meet with many fine members of the arts and music industry staying with the hotel I was working. Being part of the hotel crew hosting VIPs during the Euro vision song contest and other major events, I met singers, photographers, painters and many more interesting personalities. I also became aware of the great heritage of European arts and music by travelling to cities like Berlin, Rome, Venice and Florence, visiting museums, concerts, opera and ballet. Moving back to the Philippines, I fulfilled my dream to learn ballet just for myself. Out of nowhere, I started painting while we were all confined to our homes during the beginning of Covid-19. I studied some tutorials on YouTube for instructions and started off using Aquarelle first, but quickly moved on to Acrylic paint. Today I feel painting is something which was meant to be my way to express what I feel, my emotions, my thinking, my passion, my joy of life. Within the short time I started, I am now in possession of a collection of more than 100 of my paintings. My motto: Never stop to search for your passion.
