Art in general has been a part of my life since a young age. However, I did not officially start oil painting till about twelve years ago. I painted on canvas off and on throughout that time. It was only when I embraced the method of oils that I started to paint on black canvas. I love the vibrancy of colors or how the white oils would stand out on the black background. My greatest pleasure was to be able to bring the liveliness of insects, reptiles, or unique sea life into almost realistic yet dreamlike forms of art.
