Graduated from the University of Tsukuba with a specialization in oil painting in the Department of Painting in the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Worked as a high school art teacher.
Studied Buddhism and became a Buddhist monk.
Married and raised children while producing paintings and holding solo exhibitions (Paris, Tokyo, Kobe, Fukuoka, Oita, Xiamen).
Started painting on Japanese paper after a trip to Europe.
