George Johnston is a 48 year old contemporary artist from Glasgow, Scotland. His career background is in design and publishing. With a passion for art and sport, his current cycling art project "Peloton Abstract" is a fusion of abstract and design. His distinct style uses color and shape to convey brilliantly the speed, colors, chaos, stress, energy and excitement - of a split second of cycle racing - on canvas. This project is inspired by his home city of Glasgow hosting the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in August 2023 and a celebration of the inclusivity of cycling as a sport.
