Bio
I am a Japanese artist, born in 1953, and living in Yokohama Japan.
I was a professor at Graduate School of Engineering Management of Shibaura Institute of Technology during 2009-2019, and was working as a financial engineer at Mizuho Infor-mation & Research Institute till 2019. I am originally a mathematician, and hold a Ph.D. in Mathematical Science from Kyushu University.
I began painting from 1989. Solo exhibitions had been held at the Gallery T-BOX(Tokyo) for ten times from 2004, and at other galleries for several times.
I love and respects Japanese classic artists, Tohaku Hasegawa and Hoitsu Sakai. Their dy-namic and adventurous composition is not only advanced but also compatible with deep spirituality. I love European modern artists, Giorgio Morandi and Alberto Giacometti, their calm world with muted palette. Recent years, I use Instagram and study from works by contemporary artists in the world.
