Andre Setiawan is a surgeon who was born in Lahat, South Sumatra, Indonesia on May 20th, 1986. He pursued his specialization in surgery at the University of Indonesia in 2014 and was declared a certified surgeon in 2020. Apart from his daily routine as a doctor, he is also an active artist who started drawing original character art as his hobby and has continued to this day (instagram: Docartsurg.paintings). He currently works as an illustrator specializing in medical illustrations. In 2014, he published a book titled "Dokter Rakyat/People Doctor," which tells the story of a surgeon who reflects on his inner thoughts and feelings. The book portrays the surgeon's struggles with difficult surgical cases that require deep thinking, and the turmoil he experiences while finding solutions.
