“The work depicts a wooden toy placed in a particular environment such as a playroom in the shape of a box and without the top cover; a kind of window therefore from which one glimpses an open and undefined space with measured cloud formations. The object in the center is well emphasized in form by a bright color scheme and is very much characterized by the shadow that spills onto the wall closest to it expanding a strong physical presence. However, the shape of the shadow is apparently divergent in features from those
very swollen wooden toy thus creating a second body within the work itself. A room then with a 'perspective effect that extends to the limits of the painting delineating light and dark areas. The result is a balanced visual perception governed by elements that define
a status of simplicity and order.”
